Sano Design Services was launched in 2002 and operates as a full service Textile Design Studio. Offering creative services in Color & Concept, Branding, Original Print Design, Product Development & Digital Fabric Printing / Sampling. Comprised of experienced Artist, CAD & Graphics designers the studio operates by developing direct relationship between the clients & designers, eliminating the need for sales representatives & any miscommunication, therefore enabling us to be more cost effective.
John Sano - President - Bio:
John Sano has been working within the textile/apparel industry for over 20 years.
Currently, he operates Sano Design Services which is a premier service bureau located in New York City. Sano Design Services specializes in CAD services and digital fabric printing.
Also, John is the creator of the world's largest library of CAD-ready designs. In 2010 EzTextiles.com was launched and its current library is over 25 million designs and growing!
John's experience stems from CAD Haddad Apparel in 1992 and followed with CAD positions at Fenn Wright & Manson, and Old Navy-Gap Inc. Subsequent to that he created & managed several CAD departments for the Limited Inc. including Cacique, Victoria’s Secret and Limited Design Services.
There he played the major role as the conduit to technology for the Corporate Design Studio where he was involved with all the Limited Inc. business units (Victoria’s Secret Stores/ Direct/ Beauty, Express/ Express Men’s, Learner NY, Lane Bryant & Bath & Body Works).
His role ranged from constructing new and/or evaluating existing CAD departments, Creating Digital Fabric printed samples, Color Management systems, Image Archiving/Database management, and 2D & 3D Visual merchandising solutions for Design and Store planning.
He also introduced Multimedia & Digital Video presentations as an effective way to communicate Trends, Designs, Publications and Visual reports between Designers & Merchants. He acted as the mediator between Design
and IT, representing the design community technology needs in Design/Technology meetings & through his corporate technology reports.
International experience includes being involved in bridging the CAD/CAM gap between Santoni Knitting machines and design. In addition, John evaluated and provided the Limited London office with cost effective tools to communicate with the US based businesses. He also explored the international shopping experience to provide designers with competitive intelligence reports.
